Late Withdrawal Exception
What is a Late Withdrawal Exception?
Students are not permitted to withdraw after a term's last day for a University Withdrawal. It is critical that students follow these deadlines. Exceptions to this policy may be granted when extraordinary circumstances (e.g., medical or health emergencies) have impacted academic performance, have limited the ability to submit a timely withdrawal request, or make recording a grade of “Incomplete” inappropriate.

- Documentation. Send documentation from a professional who would endorse the extenuating circumstances and their effect on your ability to complete the semester.
- The Late Withdrawal Exception Committee will review these materials for consideration.
- The decision of this committee is final.
- The student will be notified through their Baylor email regarding the decision of the committee.
- An undergraduate student who is approved for a Late Withdrawal Exception may not enroll for the upcoming full semester (i.e., Fall or Spring). This does not apply to graduate students.
