Curricular Complexity - Spring 2027 Schedule
Beginning with the Fall 2027 schedule build, the Office of the Registrar will no longer roll forward sections with zero enrollment from a previous term.
A "rolled section" refers to a class section that is automatically copied from a prior schedule into a future term during the schedule build process. Historically, this has included sections that were offered but had no student enrollment.
This change supports the University's ongoing Curricular Complexity initiative by reducing the number of unused sections carried forward each term and encouraging departments to review and actively request sections that are needed for upcoming schedules.
Departments will still have the opportunity to create new sections or request the addition of previously offered sections during the schedule editing period. Additional information regarding schedule build timelines and section request processes will be communicated as the Fall 2027 schedule build approaches.
