No, you should not start your Class Roster Verification early, unless all students have participated in the section. The Process Start date and deadline is listed in the email that faculty receive on the first day of the process, as well as the email faculty receive when the process begins.
Not necessarily. The only students whose schedules are dropped are those who are marked as not participating in all sections. Those students are processed as a retro cancelation since they never started participation.
The Class Roster Verifications helps the university ensure that we are able to identify and process students who never begin a term and process them as a Retro Cancelation for Financial Aid purposes. The processing of retro cancelations is required by federal regulations associated with Title IV aid.
No. A student marked as “Not Participating” will receive an automated email indicating that they should contact their professor about their participation or drop their course. If a student is reported as not participating in all sections, they are retro-canceled to prevent them from being charged for a term in which they are not planning to attend.
No. The rosters must be verified through the Class Roster Verification System, where participation will be indicated for each student enrolled in your courses.
No. For Courses that begin later in the term you will receive a separate email indicating when to verify your roster.
Be sure you are using your BearID and Password. Occasionally, a password update to your BearID is needed if you have not accessed the Class Roster Verification for some time. Contact the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible for further direction.
